TIL the average American moves 11 times, and that stat rewired my brain
Honestly, I was reading a census report from 2023 and found out the average person in the US moves about 11 times in their life. I've been in the same town in Ohio for 32 years, so that blew my mind. It made me rethink how I answer those "where do you see yourself in 5 years" questions, especially since I just helped my buddy pack his 4th apartment in Chicago. Has anyone else ever looked up a random stat like that and felt suddenly behind or ahead of the curve?

Does it make you feel a little out of step with everybody else? I get that, because I've lived in the same county my whole life too, and sometimes reading those national numbers makes me wonder if I missed some unspoken rule about picking up and starting over. But honestly, staying put has its own kind of value, and I bet your friend in Chicago envies your roots more than you envy his moving boxes.
