Pro tip: my 100th dumb question on this forum got me further than the 99 "smart" ones
I kept a tally in a cheap notebook after I joined this community back in April, and I hit question number 100 this morning when I asked why my sourdough starter smells like nail polish remover. Somewhere around number 60 I quit trying to sound like I already knew the answer, and the replies got way more useful, like the guy who told me my tap water in Reno was killing the yeast. Has anyone else noticed that the questions you feel dumb asking are the ones that actually teach you something?
