My smart thermostat locked me out of my own house for 6 hours in Phoenix last Friday
I swapped out my old thermostat for a smart one and the app made me verify my account before it would even turn on the AC. It kept saying my password was wrong, so I reset it, and then it locked me out for 6 hours as a security thing. It was 108 degrees outside and my house hit 94 inside while I sat on the porch waiting. Has anyone else gotten stuck in a smart home lockout like this, and is there a way to skip the app setup next time?
