Just read that in 2005, only 36% of US adults had broadband at home, which feels wild now.
Found that stat in an old Pew Research report I was digging through for a project, and it really hit me how much asking for info online has changed since dial-up days. Anyone else remember the struggle of trying to look something up with a phone line tied up?

My family had to schedule internet time around phone calls. You learned to print out directions or recipes before you needed them. It forced a kind of planning we just don't do anymore.

Remember how that planning felt? It made you commit to a choice before acting. Now we just wing everything and it shows.

My high school required a signed note from parents for any computer lab visit. That small barrier made you really consider if your research was worth the effort. We've lost that built-in moment to pause and decide what's actually important.
