I realized I was asking questions wrong on forums like this one

I used to just post a huge block of text and hope for answers, but a reply from a user named 'gridsearch' last Tuesday said 'I can't help if I don't know what you've already tried.' Now I always list the three things I did first. Does anyone else structure their questions a certain way to get better help?

Nice, that's a solid tip (wish I'd learned it sooner).

Wait, is it really that common sense though? I think there's a layer people miss sometimes because they assume everyone's brain works the same way. What's obvious to one person might be completely hidden to another, especially if you're coming from a totally different background or mindset when you first started. Like, I know when I was getting into this stuff, I was just trying to survive and follow basic steps, not thinking about any "tricks" at all. So yeah, in hindsight it looks simple, but at the time you're just focused on not messing up the big stuff. That's why these little tips stick, because they're the kind of thing that finally clicks after you've been through the wringer a few times.

Honestly hugo37, it's not that deep. People act like missing one little trick changes your whole life. Tbh, most of these tips are just common sense you figure out on your own anyway. It's fine to learn stuff late, we all do.
