I picked a boring sedan over the truck everyone told me to buy, and my wallet is thanking me
Everyone at my job kept telling me I needed a pickup when I was car shopping 4 months ago, but I went with a used Honda Civic instead for $11,500. My brother-in-law actually laughed at me and said I would regret it by winter. Since then I have put 6,000 miles on it and I am spending about $38 a week on gas instead of the $90 my buddy pays for his F-150. For hauling stuff I just borrow a trailer from my neighbor in exchange for helping him fix his fence. Was I dumb to skip the truck, or did I make the smarter call here?
