Guy in line at the DMV in Reno described his whole retirement plan to a stranger, and it stuck with me
I was waiting to renew my license yesterday and the guy ahead of me spent 20 minutes explaining to some poor lady how he plans to retire on $40k saved plus a paid-off truck. He kept saying "the truck is the plan" like it was a sure thing. I sat there doing the math in my head and realized I don't actually know what my own plan is beyond "keep working and hope." What's the weirdest unsolicited advice you've overheard in a waiting room that actually made you think?
