Found out my tap water has 40x more microplastics than bottled, from a university study

I stumbled on a 2023 study from a university in New York while looking up aquarium filters. They tested 100 homes in the northeast and found tap water averaged 40 times more microplastic particles than bottled water, which is the opposite of what I assumed. Has anyone else looked into their local water report after reading something like this, or do you just ignore it and keep drinking from the sink?
