Asked 5 strangers for directions in Boston, only 1 got me there but it took 11 minutes

The one that worked was a guy selling fruit from a cart, he pointed with his elbow and said 'go past the burnt orange awning, not the rust one,' while the other 4 all sent me in circles, so has anyone else found that people with a daily routine give better directions than random pedestrians?
