Watch out for clients who want to 'fix it in post' on green screen, got burned twice in Tempe
Had a client last month at a spot near Mill Ave in Tempe who insisted we shoot their founder against a green wall with no lighting plan, saying their editor could 'clean it up later'. We spent 3 hours on set, and the footage came back with so much green spill on his shoulders that our colorist said fixing it would cost more than a reshoot. Now I put a clause in every contract that if they skip proper lighting, the cleanup is billed at $150 an hour. Has anyone else had to push back on the 'fix it in post' thing, and how do you word it so they actually listen?
