Vent: my gimbal ate my footage on a monsoon shoot in Tucson last Friday
I was out near Gates Pass filming a client's sizzle reel last Friday when the sky opened up out of nowhere and I scrambled to cover $4k of gear with a jacket. The gimbal got a few drops in the motor and started twitching, then corrupted the SD card mid-take and I lost 20 minutes of the best golden hour shots I've ever framed. Does anyone have a rain cover they actually trust for their gimbal, or am I just supposed to pack it in whenever the radar looks sketchy?

Watched my buddy lose a whole card at a wedding in Sedona last spring. Same deal, freak drizzle rolled in and his Ronin started stuttering, then the file just vanished. He got the shots back with some recovery software but the glitch lines never fully came out. Now he tapes a clear shower cap over the whole thing with gaff tape and it looks stupid but it works. Storm covers are cheap, losing a client's footage is not.
