That shoot in Scottsdale where my wireless mic system just died 10 minutes in
I was recording an interview for a small business testimonial and the receiver just showed no signal out of nowhere, had to switch to my backup lav with a wire that kept getting tangled in their blazer. Has anyone else had a brand name wireless setup fail on them like that during a critical moment?

Honestly, I think you might be mixing up "no signal" with a frequency interference issue. A wireless system dying like that usually isn't a total failure of the brand itself but more about the environment. In Scottsdale, with all those concrete buildings and strong WiFi in offices, the 2.4GHz band gets super crowded. I've had the same thing happen with a Sennheiser G4 setup and it turned out to be a nearby router stepping all over the frequency. Switching to a different channel on the receiver right there probably would have saved you, but it's easy to panic in the moment.

Classic Scottsdale problems - rich people's routers ruining everyone's gear.
