Sedona drone shoot got way too much static from locals

I flew a small drone over Cathedral Rock last Saturday for a wedding video. Three people came up to me before I even got the thing in the air. They said it ruins the quiet and the views. I get it, but the couple paid $1,800 for aerial footage. That spot is packed with hikers and cars anyway, it is not some untouched wilderness. I kept the flight to 15 minutes and stayed 200 feet up. Has anyone else run into this kind of pushback at the popular spots?

That bit about ruining the quiet and the views really stuck with me... because honestly I used to be one of those people grumbling about drones at spots like that. I figured they were all just noise and no respect. Then my nephew wanted footage of his proposal up at Devil's Bridge and I saw how careful he was with the whole thing, kept it high, kept it short, and the couple got something they'll treasure forever. It changed my whole view on it, to be honest. There's a big difference between someone being mindful for five minutes and someone buzzing around for an hour, you know?
