Rented a gimbal from a shop in Phoenix that failed mid-shoot

I was shooting a real estate walkthrough in Scottsdale last Wednesday and the gimbal just locked up and started vibrating on the third room. Lost about 20 minutes of usable footage before I switched to handheld. Anyone else had trouble with rental gear dying on a job and how do you handle the lost time with the client?

Yo that's rough, maybe have a backup gimbal or monopod ready next time just in case.

I just told the client there was a technical hiccup and offered a discount on their next shoot...
