Flagstaff shoot hit by 30mph gusts, my gimbal never stood a chance

Lost 3 hours of sunset footage last week because I didn't lock down the tripod legs before a gust check. That dust storm came out of nowhere near Lake Mary, and my cheap sandbags were useless. Anyone else carry a different weight setup for high desert wind?

lmao yeah I feel your pain, I lost a whole sunset shoot at Montezuma Castle to a surprise gust that flipped my whole rig over. Now I just weigh down every tripod leg with two of those big gallon water jugs and it's made a huge difference.
