Why I now read the whole paper on every big find

I used to just glance at headlines about archaeology discoveries. Then I decided to read the full academic papers instead. This habit showed me how much context gets lost in summaries. For example, when they uncovered that Roman villa in Britain, the news focused on mosaics, but the paper discussed daily life evidence. Now I understand that finds tell deeper stories. I spend more time but learn so much more. It feels like I am part of the discovery process.

Going straight to the source changed how I see fitness studies too.

Yeah, it's wild how different the real data can be. I once tried to fact-check a news article about coffee by finding the actual research paper, @val_sanchez. The study was about like, twenty people who already drank three cups a day, not the general public at all. Totally changed the headline.

Oh, my friend read the full study on ancient tools and loved the hidden stories!
