LiDAR showed me a whole hidden city under my hiking spot in New Mexico

I always thought LiDAR scans were just overhyped tech demos, but last month a survey crew ran one over the mesa behind my cousin's land and it picked out 14 pit-house outlines nobody had ever mapped, so now I'm wondering how many other 'boring' places I've walked over are sitting on something obvious.
