The summer I cracked a hundred oak stumps in one week

Back in 2018 I had this contract clearing a housing development site outside Nashville and we pulled 106 stumps in 5 days. That Friday my forearms were so pumped I could barely hold a coffee cup, but the crew split the bonus three ways and it was the best payday I ever had. Anybody else ever have a week that just clicked like that?

Man that sounds like a brutal week but in the best way possible? I been there with the forearms so tight you can't even curl your fingers right. Did you guys use an excavator or were you swinging axes and wedges the whole time? 106 stumps in 5 days is insane production, my back hurts just thinking about it. Good on your crew for splitting that bonus fair though, that kind of team is rare.

Did you always figure a good crew would just naturally share bonuses like that? I used to think everyone was out for themselves until I worked with a team that actually had honor.
