That week in July when every removal turned into a nightmare
Had a stretch last summer where three straight jobs went sideways. First one was a big oak that had a cable I didn't see, nearly took my arm off. Then a pine dropped a widowmaker from 40 feet up, missed my climbing line by maybe 6 inches. By Friday I was so on edge I nearly turned down a simple limb pruning job. Anyone else have a week that made you think about quitting for a minute?

Quit. Every bad week builds character and sharpens your eye for danger.

I hear you, but calling a bad week "danger" feels like a stretch. Most of us are just dealing with a terrible boss or a dumb project, not a life or death survival situation. It's work, not a war zone. People act like every rough patch is some kind of training ground for a thriller movie. Honestly, sometimes a bad week is just a bad week, and you can bounce back without it being some big character test. Quitting over it might be overkill unless you're actually getting harassed or put in a bad spot.

Exactly, not every rough patch is some survival movie moment. I've walked away from jobs that were just a grind and later realized it was the right call because it freed me up for something better. But yeah, the key is knowing the difference between a temporary storm and a place that's actually burning you out for real.
