Showerthought: My neighbor's 'ugly' willow tree saved my whole week

A huge limb tore off in a storm and blocked their driveway, but the way it fell perfectly missed the power lines and their new shed. Anyone else had a tree seem to pick its own landing spot like that?

Isn't it wild how insurance companies fight you on stuff like that though?

Ever check if your home insurance covers tree damage? That willow did you a favor, but next time you might not be so lucky. Get a good arborist out to look at any other big limbs that could come down. They can tell you what needs to be trimmed or removed before it causes real damage. It's cheaper than a new roof or a lawsuit.

My neighbor's oak dropped a branch on their shed last year, insurance was a nightmare. Good call from @kevin_murray88 about getting an arborist before stuff happens.
