Used my thermal camera on a fridge I already diagnosed and found a $90 relay hiding in plain sight
Had a Kenmore in Franklin last Tuesday that kept tripping the breaker. I was sure it was the compressor, but before I ordered the part I ran my FLIR on the start relay and saw it hitting 180 degrees while everything else sat around 90. Swapped the $90 relay and it ran perfect, saved the customer from a whole compressor job they didn't need. Now I shoot every suspect relay before I write an estimate, anyone else catch themselves almost replacing a big part over a cheap one?
