Pro tip: Sealing washer drain hoses with a heat gun
Had a GE front-loader that kept leaking from the drain hose connection even after tightening the clamp... so I gave the hose end a quick heat gun treatment to soften it before seating it. Worked like a charm and no more drips. Has anyone else found random tricks like that for stubborn leaks?

1988 Maytag here, a quick heat gun session fixed a drip that was driving me nuts for weeks.

Read that heat gun trick in a repair forum last week, always thought it was weird until trying it on my own leaky fridge. Fixed the drip perfectly without needing to replace any parts which was nice. Pretty wild what a little focused heat can do to old rubber seals and gaskets.

You know what, that heat gun trick also worked on my old dishwasher's spray arm seal. It was dripping water all over the floor after every cycle and I was ready to replace the whole arm assembly. But I just hit the rubber gasket with a few seconds of heat from my wife's hair dryer (didn't have a heat gun at home lol), pushed it back into place, and it sealed right up. No leaks at all since then, it's been like six months now. Honestly these little fixes save so much money and hassle, I love learning random tricks like this from forums.
