Old way of cleaning dryer vents vs. how I do it now
Used to just use a brush kit from the hardware store and call it good. Took me about 20 minutes per dryer and I missed a lot of lint deeper in the line. Last year I bought a cheap camera snake for $40 and now I actually see what I'm doing. Found a massive clog about 8 feet in that would have kept building up. Has anyone else switched to a camera for vent cleaning?

Wait, you only used to spend 20 minutes on it? Man, my brush kit sessions would take me at least an hour and I still felt sketchy about it. That camera snake sounds like a game changer though, I bet you caught stuff that would've turned into a real fire hazard down the road. I've been thinking about getting one of those cameras myself but I keep putting it off. How do you even see what you're looking at on a little screen while holding the snake and the dryer hose at the same time?
