Old school fixers and the gray area of warranty stickers
I used to see guys break seals all the time to fix things, no questions asked. Now with all the digital locks, it feels like we're crossing a line just to do our job.

Your point about digital locks making you rethink everything, @dakota_rodriguez, reminds me of my friend Chris. He was a locksmith for years and laughed at electronic systems until a job last summer. A client had a smart lock on their garage that wouldn't open, and Chris's old tricks did nothing. He had to call the maker for a code update, which blew his mind. He said it felt like starting over from scratch, just like your Ray's Auto story. Now he carries a tablet to jobs, not just picks.
