Check for cold solder joints too, they can hide from a meter.

Hiding from a meter is a good point... but a good visual check under bright light usually finds them for me.

Man I've been burned by that so many times lol. Last month I was chasing a bad ground on an old amp for like 3 hours with my multimeter and it showed fine everywhere. Finally took it outside in direct sunlight and spotted this tiny hairline crack on the solder pad that was basically invisible under a desk lamp. Bright light really does make a huge difference for catching stuff your eyes just skip over.
