Hot take: a clogged drain line in a Whirlpool fridge took me 3 hours when it should have been 30 minutes
Went out on a call in Sacramento last Friday for a fridge leaking water all over the floor. I pulled the back panel, checked the water inlet valve, tested the lines, and everything looked fine, so I kept digging. Turned out the drain line behind the freezer was packed with ice and food gunk, and I only found it after I ran a hair dryer on the whole thing for 20 minutes. The worst part is I had the right tool in my van the entire time, a $12 drain brush from the supply house. How do you guys handle ice blockages fast without pulling the whole unit apart?
