Three weeks ago I nearly rage quit an anime club over pacing arguments
Last month at the Wednesday meetup in the back room of Bob's Comics, we got into a 45-minute fight about whether that new mecha show is too slow or just building tension. I swear I counted 12 people talking over each other about how episode 7 dragged. I just wanted to watch the next episode, not debate if a 3-minute mech launch sequence counts as filler. Has anyone else had their weekly group turn into a debate club instead of a watch party?

Ugh yeah my group spent a whole hour arguing if flashback intensity matters more than fight choreography.

Ngl, that mech launch sequence debate hits close to home. Did your group actually settle it or did they just talk until the next meetup got cancelled? Honestly curious if anyone walked away convinced or if it was just noise.
