The episode I misnamed for 6 months straight

I kept calling that one episode from Attack on Titan 'The Midnight Sun' because I heard someone say it at a con. Turned out the real title was 'Hero' and I had been mixing it up with a different show's episode for half a year. My friend corrected me while we were streaming it last weekend and I felt like a total goof. Has anyone else accidentally swapped episode names between anime and just rolled with it for way too long?

Always gets me how specific titles stick in our heads. Used to call a Naruto filler arc something completely made up and nobody called me out for months. That con energy messes with memory more than people admit.

Man I feel that so hard! What finally worked for me was just writing down the real episode titles for a few of my favorite shows in a notes app on my phone. Whenever I caught myself using a fake title in a conversation, I'd check it real quick and correct myself. @charles_henderson it's such a weird thing how our brains just fill in the blanks with whatever sounds right. I started doing that after I called a Fullmetal Alchemist episode something completely wrong for like two years straight. It's honestly kind of freeing to just admit you made up a title and move on, you know?

I once spent an entire road trip insisting that a Scrubs episode was called "My Six Dollar Foot Long" and nobody corrected me until we were three states away... still not sure if they were just being nice or if my confidence sold it.
