That one forum comment about episode pacing made me rewatch 12 shows with a stopwatch
Someone said I only liked slice of life because I skip all the action arcs, so I timed my skips on 12 series and found I was jumping ahead during anything with a countdown, which is weird because I never noticed until that reply called me out, has anyone else caught themselves doing something like that?

Stop timing and ask yourself what the countdown scenes are actually doing for you. Are you skipping them because you already know the stakes, or because the tension makes you uncomfortable? I used to fast-forward every timer in Steins;Gate specifically because I hated watching characters panic, not because the pacing was bad.
