Spent $80 on a limited edition anime blu-ray box set and got a bootleg instead

I saw this deal on eBay for a complete set of Cowboy Bebop on blu-ray for $80. It was supposedly the UK limited edition with all the extras. I jumped on it because I thought I was saving like $40 from retail. When it showed up, the discs had no logos printed on them and the menu screens were just static images. I checked the serial numbers and they didn't match any official release. So now I'm out $80 and stuck with a crummy copy. Has anyone else gotten burned by a fake anime box set on eBay?

Same here man, I used to defend eBay bootlegs but now I get it.

Oh man I definitely had that phase too (my wallet definitely doesn't miss it though). My old collection is basically a museum of why you shouldn't trust photoshopped album covers.
