Showerthought: Why does every Isekai protagonist have to be a generic dude now?

I binged through 12 new Isekai shows this season on Crunchyroll, and like 10 of them had the same brown-haired guy who dies and gets a cheat skill. It got so repetitive I actually checked the episode counts to see if I was rewatching the same show by accident. Anyone else notice this trend getting worse lately?

Is episode 6 where you almost checked if it was the same show?

Yeah, "almost checked if it was the same show." My buddy Matt texted me halfway through episode 6 and asked if I was still watching the same thing. He said it felt like a totally different show from the first three episodes.
