Paid $90 for a physical copy of a show I already streamed, worth it

I keep seeing people say physical anime is dead and streaming is the only way to go. Last month I bought the complete series of an old mecha show from 2009 on Blu-ray for 90 bucks. The streaming version had a bad subtitle track and the video quality looked washed out on my TV. The discs have a proper dub and the colors actually pop compared to the stream. Has anyone else dropped cash on a series they could watch for free, just for the better quality?
