Dropped Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood after 15 episodes
Everyone says it's the greatest anime ever made. I tried it three times last year. Got through 15 episodes and just felt... nothing. The characters felt flat to me and the comedy bits broke all the serious moments. Am I missing something big or is it just not for everyone?

yeah honestly I used to think the same thing until I forced myself to finish it and realized it all pays off later

Chapter 3 is the wall I've seen so many people hit. I actually printed out a checklist for each character name just to keep track, and that helped me get through the slower parts around page 200. Once you hit the part where they find the old journal in the basement, everything starts connecting and it becomes a completely different book.
