Why does nobody talk about sensor battery life in cold weather installs

I just found out that alkaline batteries in wireless window sensors can lose up to 50% of their capacity when temps drop below freezing. Was reading a spec sheet from a battery manufacturer last night and it blew my mind. Has anyone else had callbacks on winter installs because of this?
