Walked into a dentist office and found a wired panel sitting in a fish tank

So I was at a dentist appointment last Tuesday in Orlando and noticed their alarm panel just sitting inside this old 10 gallon fish tank. No water in it, but the tank was full of dust and dead crickets. I asked the receptionist about it and she said it's been like that for 3 years because the tech who installed it thought it looked cool. Has anyone else found a panel in a weird spot like that?
