Vent: My cat taught me more about motion sensor angles than any training class

I learned to check placement from the floor up after a cat's tail kept setting off the same high corner unit. Now I crawl around like a toddler during every walk test, but it works.

Imagine using a living animal as a measuring tool. That's honestly wild to me. A cat's tail is always moving, it flicks and twitches. You'd get a different angle every single second. Plus, what if the cat just decides to walk away or, worse, gets spooked and bolts? You'd lose your whole setup. I can't believe someone would risk a burnt tail just to check a sensor.
