Remember when we used to run all the sensors back to the main panel with individual wires?

I did a job in an old split-level house about six months ago that still had that setup from the 90s. We had to pull new wire for a single door contact and it took three hours just to fish it through the finished basement ceiling. Last month, I put a wireless sensor on a similar door in a newer build and had it talking to the panel in maybe ten minutes. The time and material difference was huge. Has anyone else found a specific spot where wireless just saves the day now?

Ever try to add a motion sensor to a finished room with vaulted ceilings? Wireless was the only way without tearing into drywall. The labor cost to run wire there would have been insane.

Absolutely had the same problem in my living room, those high ceilings are a nightmare for wiring. Ended up using a wireless sensor too and it was a total game changer. Saved me from dealing with ladders and patching up holes everywhere. Sometimes the easy way out is just the smart move.
