Realized I was mounting base stations too low after a customer's kid kept tripping the alarm

It took a frantic call from a homeowner in Tulsa who said their cat was setting off the motion sensor every night, and when I checked the placement I saw the sensor was aimed right at a spot where a 3-foot tall cat tree sat, which finally made me realize I'd been mounting everything at 4 feet instead of the recommended 7 feet for pet immune coverage.

Man that's rough but hey at least you figured it out before a customer's dog set off a false alarm in the middle of the night.

Honestly I remember reading that some cats can trigger motion sensors even at 7 feet which is wild, sorry to hear you dealt with that @dixon.nathan.
