Keypad beeped 9 times at a job in Tulsa and I stood there like a dummy
Doing a panel swap in an older house near Tulsa, and after I got everything wired back up the keypad gave me 9 beeps on power up. I sat there checking my zone wiring for 20 minutes because 9 usually means a zone fault on these old boards. Turned out the cover tamper spring was bent from the old can and was grounding out on the board. I bent it back with needle nose and it cleared right up, took me 10 more minutes to finish the whole thing. Client was cool about it, even joked that I looked like I was praying to the panel. What weird beep codes have you all run into that turned out to be something dumb like that?
