Had to choose between running a new wire or using a wireless sensor on a tough second floor job
I went with the wireless sensor to save two hours of work, and now I'm getting a random low battery alert every three days. Anyone know a more reliable wireless contact for old brick houses?

My old brick house eats wireless sensors for breakfast.

Brick and plaster walls are basically signal black holes. It's wild how much our building materials mess with modern tech. My parents' place has the same issue, their smart doorbell drops connection if you stand in the wrong spot. Makes you wonder how anything worked before wifi.

Nah, I gotta push back on that a bit. Old brick houses have way less interference from neighbors' wifi signals and cell towers bouncing around. Yeah your signal might be weaker but it's also way more stable without 30 other networks crammed into the same channels. Sometimes less is more.
