Blew $800 on a wireless panel setup that kept dropping signal

Thought I was being smart upgrading that big house in Arlington to a fancy wireless system. Three service calls later I was still getting false alarms from the bedroom sensors through the metal studs. The old wired setup worked fine for 12 years and I ripped it out for nothing. Now I'm charging the customer double to run new wire because they dont want a refund, they want it fixed. Anyone else regret switching to wireless on a retrofit when the walls are already closed up?
