Why I picked lithium over nicad battery tools even with the upfront cost
Last year I had to decide between sticking with my old nicad snap-on setup or jumping to lithium powered stuff. Everyone in my hangar said nicad was tougher for heavy use, but I went with Milwaukee lithium anyway after dropping almost $600 on a drill, impact, and charger. Six months in, I've charged those batteries maybe 3 times total compared to swapping nicads every other job. The torque is consistent too, no slow fade when the battery gets low. Anyone else make the switch and find their old tools collecting dust?

Dude yes. My old dewalt nicads are in a box in the garage now, they just sit there. Lithium is a whole different game. I remember hauling two chargers around just to keep a rotation going, now one battery lasts through a whole weekend of projects. The weight difference alone sold me, feels like half the weight when I'm working overhead.
