Took me 3 years to realize I was torquing spark plugs wrong on turbine engines

Used to think torque was torque, tight is tight you know? Then a buddy showed me how the friction coefficient changes when those plugs are hot vs cold and it clicked why mine were always backing off a little. Totally changed how I prep the threads now.

Yeah, that friction coefficient thing is a real eye-opener once you see it in action, isn't it?
