The shop's old 737 nose gear bay looked like a grease pit for years.

Our new lead mechanic started a weekly clean-up rule three months ago, and now you can spot a missing cotter pin from ten feet away. It's amazing how much easier inspections are when you can actually see the parts. Has your hangar ever made a simple change that saved a ton of time on checks?

It's a weird feeling, like the universe just hit copy and paste.

We started color coding our tool crib with cheap spray paint. All the 1/4 inch drive stuff is blue, 3/8 is red, you get the idea. It sounds small but it cut our time hunting for the right socket by like half on every job. The real win was new guys could find things without asking a million questions. That clutter adds up over a week more than you'd guess.
