The 14 hour shift that ended with a parts bin full of loose washers
Tuesday was just one of those days. We had a C-check due by friday and the lead handed me a bin of fasteners that supposedly matched a wing panel job. Halfway through the install I realized the washers were a mix of two different specs, same size but one was the hardened type. Tore it all back down and spent the rest of the afternoon sorting them by feel. My thumb still hurts. The guy who labeled the bin is the same guy who never torques his own lug nuts on his truck. Has anyone else run into a parts room that just throws everything in one bin and calls it organized? How do you catch it before you go through the whole install?

Man, I once sorted a whole bin by feel too, my fingers still twitch!
