Hit my 100th sheet metal repair last month and finally stopped guessing
I work at a shop near SeaTac and last month I finished my 100th aluminum patch repair on a 737. It hit me how much faster I got at reading the damage and cutting the doubler plates. I used to spend 30 minutes just measuring overlap, now I can eyeball it within a quarter inch. Has anyone else noticed a big jump in speed after a certain number of reps?

That 100 mark makes sense as a tipping point. Were you tracking your time per repair as you went, or did the speed increase just sneak up on you? I'm curious if the real shift was in your cutting or your damage assessment.
