Warning: my air fryer manual says you can actually bake a cake in it, which I found out after my kid's birthday party got rained out.
I had to make a last minute chocolate cake in my 5-quart basket and it turned out shockingly good, so has anyone else tried baking something totally unexpected in theirs?

That's awesome it worked out for the party. Honestly, the air fryer is a little miracle for small baking jobs. I made cornbread in mine last week when my oven was on the fritz, and it came out perfectly golden with a nice crust. It heats up so fast and cooks things really evenly. I never would have thought to try a whole cake, but now I'm tempted.

Just wait until you try a whole chicken. My air fryer basically runs my kitchen now, the oven just sits there looking sad and expensive. I'm half convinced it's secretly judging me for using a tiny countertop box to make a roast dinner. At this rate, I'm gonna start using it to dry my socks or something.
