The day my air fryer caught a kitchen towel on fire at my sister's place

I was at my sister's house in Phoenix last month and her towel was draped over the vent on top of her air fryer while it was running... caught fire in like 3 minutes flat. Has anyone else had a close call with stuff sitting too close to the back of theirs?

caught fire in like 3 minutes flat" is what got me. That's terrifying how fast it happened. Were you able to get it out before the whole kitchen went up or did you have to use an extinguisher? I always figured an air fryer fire would smolder slow, not go up that quick.
