The day I tried to air fry a whole chicken without defrosting it first
I was so hungry last Sunday and totally forgot to take the chicken out of the freezer. Just threw it in my air fryer at 360 degrees for like 45 minutes thinking it'd be fine. Spoiler alert: the outside got all crispy and dark but when I cut into it, the center was still completely frozen and raw. My husband walked in and just stared at me holding this half-raw bird like I'd lost my mind. Now I always set a timer on my phone to remind me to thaw meat the night before. Has anyone else made this mistake or am I the only one who tried to rush a frozen chicken?

Kind of dramatic calling it a mistake. You got a crispy outside and a frozen inside. That's just dinner math. Cut around the raw parts, microwave the frozen bits, and call it a win. Half the cooking shows say you can cook from frozen anyway. Your husband staring at you like you killed a bird is a bit much. It's chicken, not a crime scene.

Frozen chicken just doesn't cook evenly though, that's playing with fire.
