That air fryer chicken breast recipe from a cardiologist site surprised me

I found a stat that said air frying can cut fat by up to 75% compared to deep frying, which blew my mind since I always figured it was just a marketing gimmick. Has anyone else looked into the actual nutrition differences or is everyone just here for the crispy texture?

The 75% cut is mostly about the oil, not the meat changing. People forget that deep frying basically soaks food in fat. That oil soaks in and adds calories. Air frying just uses hot air to cook the outside, so you don't get that absorption. It's like how a baked potato is way different than french fries even though they start the same. The method changes what you're actually eating.

Wait, does that 75% number mostly come from the fact that you're using way less oil to begin with, or does the air fryer actually change the fat content of the meat itself?
